About Sasha

Sasha Perigo is a writer, policy advocate, and data analyst from the Bay Area. After working at Google as a software engineer, she quit her job to write about the housing crisis. She worked as a columnist at the San Francisco Examiner and has been published in Curbed SF, SF Weekly, Hoodline, and Mission Local. She has experience in the nonprofit sector with Tenants Together and East Bay Housing Organizations.

Sasha was recognized for her work by San Francisco's Harvey Milk LGBTQ Democratic Club as the 2021 recipient of the Audre Lorde Advancing Justice Through Writing Award. She was also featured on the BBC 100 Women List in 2017.

Sasha lives in San Francisco with her partner and her black cat Charlotte.
